Delete your Americano Health account

Steps to request account deletion

1. Open the Manage account page. From the app: go to Settings and tap Manage account (this opens the account page in your browser). Or on the web, sign in and go to the Manage account page.
2. Scroll to the Delete account section.
3. Tap or click Delete Account, then type "delete" to confirm.
4. Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted. You will be signed out.

If you cannot access the Manage account page, contact us at support@americanohealth.com to request account deletion and we will process your request.

Data that is deleted

When you delete your account, Americano Health permanently deletes the following:

• Your account (email, login, and subscription)
• All health profiles you own (yours and any dependents without their own login)
• Medical history, conditions, allergies, medications, and medication check-ins
• Appointments and symptom logs
• Connected medical records (EHR connections and synced data)
• Shareable health summaries and share links
• Profile photos and uploaded documents
• Device and notification settings tied to your account

Data that may be kept or transferred

• Dependents with their own login: If a family member has their own Americano Health account and was linked to you as a caretaker, their profile and data are not deleted. Their link to your account is removed and they keep their data under their own account.
• Legal and operational records: We may retain limited information as required by law (e.g. tax, fraud prevention) or for legitimate business purposes. Such data is kept only as long as necessary and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Retention period

Account and personal data deletion is completed promptly after you confirm in the app (typically within a short time). Backups may be purged within 90 days. Any data we are required to retain by law is kept only for the period mandated.
